The Position:
Access Communications--NY is looking for an all around high performer with responsibility for helping to grow and manage our NY office. Successful candidates will demonstrate track record of success in “high touch” environment where they enjoy leading client business and producing smart work product. Responsibilities for helping manage agency operation include staff deployment and utilization, staff coaching and nurturing, revenue generation, income projections and administrative functions related to executing the annual business plan and to meeting profit objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Function as “second-in-command” to NY general manager
* Act as key client contact on major accounts
* Develop strategic recommendations
* Manage and mentor staff
* Forecast billable hours for all people working on accounts within the business unit
* Develop skill sets and growth tracks for all reports and administer personnel
* Spearhead agency activities and develop new policies and procedures on a proactive basis
* Help drive new business efforts
Requirements:
* BA/BS; 8-10 years minimum experience in public relations
* Solid experience in relevant B2B technology
* Management experience
* Ability to look at a client’s program and help position that client within the marketplace
* Superior written and oral communication skills
* Highly professional with business savvy and ability to provide senior level strategy and counsel to clients and agency staff
* Ability to interface with senior executives on client side
* Willingness to travel
* Excellent presentation and strategic planning skills
* Strong editorial contacts
