Manning Selvage & Lee seeks a Vice President for its Boston Consumer/Cause Related Practice.
As a senior manager of major consumer accounts the VP is responsible for the creative development of public relations programs, building relationships with clients, and strategic growth of existing business and new business pitches. The VP we seek will have a proven expertise in cause related programs. You will take the lead role in initiating and contributing to new business development, advancing both new and organic growth for consumer/cause practice growth both in Boston and across North America
This position requires someone to perform as a leader on the account management team in tactical client counseling, "hands-on" daily projects such as budgets, events and media management, and overall client satisfaction. The VP should have the ability to work in a team environment, possess out of the box thinking, demonstrate creativity and act as a mentor to junior staff while building a consumer practice with a cause related specialty.
Candidates must have a minimum of 7-8 years experience in Consumer Public Relations at an agency or corporate in-house, with a specific cause related concentration. Excellent writing skills, new business abilities, solid contacts and a strong track record with national consumer media, proven leadership skills, and experience with multi-tasking are essential to this position.
