Detailed Description Department Summary The Corporate Services line of business serves over 25% of the S&P 500 in providing end-to-end equity compensation and stock plan administration solutions. E*TRADE offers many products and services to meet the needs of this important segment and capture a greater share of the stock plan market. The Corporate Services marketing director is an active member of the Corporate Services leadership team and manages the marketing team, which: • Supports the acquisition and retention of corporate client companies • Manages the highly successful Directions conference and coordinates presence at other industry events • Manages enrollment and engagement programs for the employees of corporate clients. Position Summary The Director will assume the leadership role for the Corporate Services marketing team. He/she will be responsible for all aspects of the marketing strategy to drive increased corporate clients, build industry presence and awareness and increase engagement with the broader E*TRADE retail offering amongst stock plan participants The Director will manage a high performing team of marketing associates and will also be a part of the Corporate Services strategic leadership team, working closely with key partners in product development, client management, sales, finance, and marketing analytics. This is an integrated role requiring a combination of quantitative strategy, marketing acquisition skills and strong interpersonal and management skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strength in all of these areas. Essential Job Functions 1. Marketing Leadership • Develop and execute quarterly and annual marketing plans, working across the organization to ensure that strategies and initiatives are aligned with corporate objectives. • Highly client-oriented with demonstrated experience in product marketing and/or the business-to-business marketplace. • Drive the curriculum, promotion and execution for annual E*TRADE Directions conference. • Lead the analysis of customer segments, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive product, pricing and marketing strategies. • Apply a robust project management discipline to ensure smooth, successful, and timely campaign execution with a high degree of operational quality. 2. Partner with sales and service channels and product management • Develop an understanding of the effectiveness of the sales pipeline by overseeing the development and refinement of lead strategies and key reports. • Direct the development of sales materials to drive leads and improve effectiveness of sales interactions. • Work closely with partners in product development to ensure products and tools meet the needs of the target segment • Oversee new product launches, including branding, positioning and the development of product demos, collateral and marketing campaigns. • Drive multi-channel client retention efforts, including email, events and website marketing. 3. Drive participant engagement • Develop education and communications programs aimed at engaging stock plan participants with E*TRADE • Actively market E*TRADE’s retail products & services to stock plan participants online and via targeted channels • Ensure continuous improvement in campaign effectiveness by employing test & learn strategies and leveraging timely results reporting. 4. Reporting & Budget Management • Budget preparation, statistical justification, outlining strategic objectives and senior level presentations. • Lead the creation and delivery of senior management communications and ad hoc analysis. Job Requirements Minimum Required Qualifications: • Experience running a B2B or B2C marketing organization for a financial services company, preferably in the retail investing/brokerage category. • AND/OR business strategy consulting experience at a top tier firm (prefer quantitative firm or equivalent strategic planning position such as BCG, McKinsey, Capital One). • Minimum 7 years of progressive responsibilities with a focus on strategic marketing. • Bachelors degree in business, marketing or quantitative field with course work in economics and finance from a top tier school. An MBA from a highly ranked program preferred. Minimum Skills • The ability to think both strategically and tactically. Understand the details of the business, and synthesize them to make a compelling business case, and set out specific actions. • Strong leadership skills. Ability to influence and gain support of cross-functional partners to execute on product plans and marketing initiatives. • Strong organizational skills and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment • Tenacity, a bias for action and the ability to overcome obstacles and successfully execute on multiple projects simultaneously and/or under extremely tight deadlines • The ability to recognize opportunities for the product line and the independence to advocate and consensus build as needed. A proven leader who is proactive and capable of self-directed work, but also a good team player. • Detailed-oriented project management skills • Strong relationship manager with effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be comfortable driving results through others and obtaining organizational alignment for initiatives. • Comfortable directing detailed, quantitative financial and marketing analyses.
