Job Description
Public Relations - Account Supervisor Company: Manning, Selvage & Lee Account Supervisor, Corporate Team Position The Account Supervisor will manage, develop, coordinate and implement communications (public/media relations/employee communications) initiatives for corporate clients. The Account Supervisor will play a lead role on a major client account and work closely with MS&L San Francisco's senior management team. Primary responsibilities will include: # Media relations, including: o Developing strategic media plans o Drafting media materials such as releases, Q&As, fact sheets o Expertise in pitching media and securing relevant national and regional media coverage o Savvy with print, broadcast and online media o Experience with media tours, satellite media tours, radio news releases # Event planning and management # Account management, including: o Helping manage day-to-day activity to client satisfaction o Project oversight o Inter-office collaboration o Providing quality control over all work performed for client o Managing junior staff o Assisting in managing budgets, activity trackers, billing and administrative needs The ideal Account Supervisor will possess a strong combination of the following experiences and attributes: # Minimum of 5-7 years public relations experience; ideal candidate will have a mix of PR agency and corporate-side experience # Proven ability and maturity in working directly with clients # Strong writing skills with experience crafting press releases, articles and presentations # Poise and polish that create a sense of credibility in all communications and interactions, and enable him/her to serve as an internal and external representative of the company # Excellent communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas to senior executives and client teams # Experience launching and maintaining media visibility for initiatives and/or products # Event planning and management experience; ideal candidate will have trade show experience # Positive leader who mentors junior staff in traditional and non-traditional media skills # Excellent organizational skills # A positive and enthusiastic attitude and high professional standards # A collaborative spirit and willingness to put in the extra effort
